Rotary Club of Delhi South (RCDS) commenced Rotary Year 2026–27 on an inspiring and environmentally conscious note with its first service project—a large-scale Tree Plantation Drive at Buddha Jayanti Park on 4 July 2026. Embracing this year's Rotary theme, "Create Lasting Impact," the club successfully planted 700 Amaltas (Cassia fistula) saplings, with 15 enthusiastic members participating in the initiative. The drive was inaugurated by Club President Rtn. Dr. Manish Dhawan, who planted the first sapling, while Honorary Secretary Rtn. Kriti Makhija joined him in planting a tree symbolising fresh beginnings, growth, and renewed commitment. Members of the Inner Wheel Club, including Sarita Kapoor, Ashima Agrawal, and Reenu Kochhar, also enthusiastically participated in support of the green initiative.
